Musical Performers July 19

Eric Lindell and Company – WaterFire is pleased to welcome Eric Lindell from New Orleans, LA.  Lindell performs music that is as at home on your front porchEric Lindell on a summer evening as it is in a hot sweaty club on a Saturday night.  It is southern soul music, infused with R&B and a touch of New Orleans funk.  It is blues music, glazed with a taste of country.  It is simple, heartfelt song writing; melodic guitar solos and an energized live performance. This is a must see music-event at WaterFire 2014.

Shawn McDonald –  Those who’ve followed Shawn McDonald’s celebrated career in any capacity already know he’s consistently one to defy artisticShawn McDonald conventions and push himself well beyond the boundaries of comfort zones. In fact, when we last heard from the critically revered singer/songwriter, he was forsaking the traditional greatest hits compilation route to cap off his first ten years of expression, and instead, turned in a batch of past re-imaginings and future foreshadowing’s on 2013’s The Analog Sessions. Considering the Eugene, Oregon native and longtime Columbus, Ohio resident has always marched to his own creative drum, it’s all the more fitting his first entirely new studio offering in three years is a bold reinvention, though never at the expense of the vulnerable lyrical sentiments that have always made McDonald one of the most authentically relatable artists of his generation.

Jimmy Adler Band – Jimmy Adler is a live wire entertainer who packs passion and energy into every performance! His music is a blend of ChicagoJimmy Adler Blues and West Coast Jazzy Jump. Sam Torres – It’s hard to imagine what it would be like as an artist to lose your voice for nearly 2 years but that’s exactly what happened to SamSam Torres Torres.  Sam had just been nominated for a Grammy for his work on a Spanish album when the music stopped.  But never one to rest Sam moved to Canfield, OH and began to reinvent himself.  Incredibly during this time his voice returned and new songs were born.  With his new release “Until the Whole World Knows,” Sam is striking out with an infectious anthemic pop rock sound similar to Switchfoot and Coldplay.  The future is bright for this incredible singer/songwriter.
